Simon Baker has received numerous acting awards for his role as the Mentalist. Known as Patrick Jane he excels through scientific reasoning and critical thinking and by reading people’s minds.
Acting as a perennial protagonist he exhibits highly developed observational skills and a deep insight into the human psyche and behavior. He exhibits highly unorthodox skills and employees bizarre techniques to locate persons of interest. He solves crimes through his genius, keen powers of observation and deduction, knowledge of heredity and social engineering, and by reading people’s minds. His character is confident, vibrant, entertaining and amusing. He would be my ideal choice to portray an adoption detective in the movies.
